Wakaba

Full Name: Wakaba Shinohara

A True Friend, Cute and Loveable. A student of Ohtoria Academy, Wakaba's friendship and quirky love is devoted to Utena. Wakaba's bouncy and cheerful, always looking on the bright side and always a bit too nosey. Underneath all of her giggles and smiles Wakaba is head over heals in love with Saionji.











Wakaba is a busy girl in the Utena Saga. In the Manga, TV Show & Movie, she is and will always be the Loveable Wakaba. The only difference is how she interacts with Utena. In the TV Show and Manga, it's pretty much the same. Utena is day dreaming about her prince and wakaba's there in the background egging her on. In the movie we actually see Utena flirt with Wakaba, and tease her about being a "nice girl". Of course it doesn't last long because Utena meets up with her true prince charming Touga.

Wakaba is 14, and throughout the TV series we get to see her bubbly smile and curious humor light up the screen. One of the mysteries in the TV series is Wakaba's Girlfriend Complex. Does she want to be Utena's Girlfriend? Why does she get jealous of Anthy so easily? As the series continues these questions are never really answered.
